Desperation time for the McCain campaign is a given. Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama is not just leading, but pulling away from Republican presidential candidate John McCain in many key states. Would a "straight talker" like McCain increase his positive message to try and bring more voters into the Republican fold? Nope.

McCain and his Republican surrogates have stepped up the campaign of outright lies, disinformation, and innuendo in an attempt to suppress the Democratic vote and lay the groundwork to steal the election from the American people.

This article contains the top 10 most egregious dirty tricks that we've seen so far. Given the election is still two weeks away, the only question remaining is how low can John McCain go?
