10 New Ways to Make Money Online, from Web Worker Daily
posted March 2, 2007 - 11:50amThe productivity Web site Web Worker Daily had an interesting article last week on how to make money online--and, as it points out, they aren't talking about affiliate marketing sites or selling stuff on eBay.
I found the article to be pretty useful, and apparently a lot of other people agree--it has gotten more than 1,900 diggs on Digg.com. It offers ideas including the following, and gives links to sites to find more info on them:
- Offer your professional expertise in an online marketplace, whether it's writing, programming or consulting
- Sell photos on stock photography sites
- Blog for pay at sites that need content
- Provide service and support for open source software
- Online life coaching
- Work as a virtual assistant
- Build services atop Amazon Web Services
- Write reviews for pay or perks
Aside from this article, Web Worker Daily has a good collection of articles on different aspects of being online and getting things done online. In some ways it's like Lifehacker, which I wrote about last week, but is more focused on the Web and technology.
WWD has articles on topics such as working styles, tech gear, how-to's, personal organization, applications, style and etiquette, tips and tricks, and workplace trends. I enjoyed the recent article about reusable batteries that can be recharged in your laptop's USB port.
