Schools sometimes go overboard trying to obey all the rules. My oldest son was detained once in middle school and twice in high school for having baggies full of green vegetable matter in his lunch. They got him in middle school for alfalfa sprouts and in high school for alfalfa sprouts and raw broccoli. We found the police to be more reasonable than the school officials, although the police were not called for the broccoli as the librarian was able to identify it as a food item. It gave him an interesting perspective on how the system works... or ah.. doesn't work.... as the case may be.... Angel
