2008 Baseball All-Star Game - Home Run Derby
posted July 10, 2008 - 7:51pmThe Home Run Derby is one of the most anticipated events of the annual Baseball All-Star extravaganza. And why not? It offers wall-to-wall action, without all the waiting, timeouts, and boring plays.
This year's State Farm Home Run Derby (yes, everything has a sponsor) will take place on Monday, July 14th at 8 p.m. ET, and will be televised on ESPN.
So who's going to be swinging for the fences this year? Here are the confirmed participants:
NATIONAL LEAGUE
Lance Berkman, Houston Astros
Dan Uggla, Florida Marlins
Chase Utley, Philadelphia Phillies
Ryan Braun, Milwaukee Berwers
AMERICAN LEAGUE
Josh Hamilton, Texas Rangers
Grady Sizemore, Cleveland Indians
