2012: Another Unsuccessful Prediction?

Lately, it seems like I cannot turn on my t.v. or computer or pass by a tabloid without seeing some sort of "evidence" about when the world will end, especially with the new film "2012" coming out.  Maybe it is my preconceived notion that the media thrives on fear-mongering...seems like we need something new to fear after H1N1. But how new is this fear? Actually, it is quite a recurring trend to predict doomsday (remember Y2K?). What many do not hear about, however, are these predictions that (obviously) did not come into fruition. Below is a link to an article describing ten of these predictions that may or may not relax some of those doomsday fears.

this is kind of rumour

we can't predict something that really happen in the future. But it acceptable to increase our spirituality.

You never know!

LOL.  It's not yet 2012.  We won't know until Christmas 3 years from now.

Merry Christmas and happy 2013 (in case we don't make it!)

Kate

Warmest regards and best intentions,

Kate
