The 2016 Olympics: They will be Where?

It seems to me, and I don't claim to understand politics at all. It seems to me, however, that a man that calls himself President should not be campaigning for one city over any other for the Olympics or anything else during the time that he is in the White House. Let the governor of Illinois lobby for them, and the mayor of Chicago also would be okay. So what if that is his former hometown? Right now he doesn't live there and right now he is supposed to be for all the nation not one city over another. I realize that he will be out of office in 2016 even if he serves two terms, but the fact that he was doing the lobbying while he was living in the White House is enough that he should not have done it. For him to claim to be so smart it seems like he doesn't understand the rules of the game very well. While sitting in the office a person has to think about the entire nation and the people that live there--not just the ones in his party or in his hometown as he was doing in this case.
I don't know why Oprah, Michelle, and he all together couldn't persuade the judges to have the Olympics in Chicago. What's more I don't care why. Perhaps Oprah is losing some of her pull in the world I don't know and really don't care one way or the other. I do know that I was hoping that Chicago wouldn't get the games. I wouldn't have cared one way or the other about that either until I heard that first Michelle was going and then Barack himself. I really didn't think to much about Michelle going, but when they said Barack was going—the man that is supposed to be for the entire country rather than one city over another. I told my wife and daughter, “Well that does it for me. I definitely hope that they don't get it now, because he should not be doing that.”
