#22 - Hot Dogs, LOLs & Poor Language

I’ve been thinking...

1.    The majority of hot dog packages contain twelve hot dogs, but the majority of hot dog bun bags only contain eight buns. What the hell is that all about?

2.    I aim to make every step I take, a step in the most arduous direction possible. Then I stomp down my foot, proud of where I stand, and look onward. Only when your journey is at its hardest, are you able to learn the most.

3.    I'm done with ‘lol’. It doesn't even make sense anymore. I hardly laugh out loud while conversing over the internet, and if I did, I doubt I would broadcast it. I often think, ‘lol’ is abused, and is merely thrown about to signify the potential humour behind a sentence. Often the person is just afraid they may have said something offensive, so they attempt to smooth it over with an ‘lol’. If that wasn't the case, then the comment should be funny enough to encourage laughter without the reminder it was a joke.

4.    I'm also finished with all these web-based acronyms, abbreviations, and mistyping. No more missing punctuation or ill-worded substitutions. One should use their language in a way that reflects how proud they are to know it.
