25 Uses for Orange Peels

Oranges are a real ray of sunshine on the tongue, especially in the winter. The left over orange peels are tossed out in the garbage by most of us, but there's a long list of alternative uses for the peels. For a breath taking article on the uses of orange peels, click away below...

Another Use for Orange Peels

If you let the peels dry out out and grind them into a powder, the powder can be used to flavor table sugar, tea, or added to spice mixes. Got that idea from here: http://italianfood.about.com/od/aboutingredients/r/blr0643.htm

Great Uses for Orange Peels!

Great article! There were several uses that I was not aware of. I usually compost mine or use them as a freshener in the garbage disposal. Thanks for more ideas! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Earn for Your Writing on Xomba Earn for Your Writing on Bukisa Check Out My Writing on Bukisa

orange peel uses

I don't have a garbage disposal, but I do toss a couple peels in the bottom of the kitchen garbage bucket below the trash bag so that it's not embarrassing when you empty the can. I've got one or two many cats (meaning, one or two cats total) and I solve the smell problem in my studio apartment by boiling a couple peels in water on the stove. Really absorbs some intrusive smell.

I use the orange peels for the garbage disposal

Unless the fruit is too old to eat, I will use just the peel after I've removed it to make sure the garbage disposal keeps smelling fresh with a nice citrusy smell. JOIN US IN TOASTING YOUR FUTURE SUCCESS!
