37 Killed in Afghanistan's Southern Zabul Province When Taliban Militants Attack Convoy Sunday Morning

Zabul Province, Afghanistan

32 Taliban militants were killed when they ambushed a convoy carrying supplies for NATO troops Sunday morning. In the ensuing gun battle 5 Afghan security personnel were also killed and eight others injured.

Afghan security forces responding to the attack killed 32 Taliban. Only one Afghan Soldier was injured in the fighting.
Afghan forces recovered over a dozen motorbikes and 18 assault rifles which were left by the insurgents.
