5 ways to live better without spending more.
posted October 27, 2009 - 4:33pmAn interesting article on the standard of living issue faced by beginning frugalists. It actually has six tips.
1. Don't buy stuff you don't want.
2. Share whenever possible.
3. Have capital.
4. Don't borrow. Interest is evil.
5. Cook your own food.
6. Spend money to save money. (Stocking up when stuff is cheap, etc.)

Cooking your own food is one
Cooking your own food is one of the quickest ways to start saving money. I used to go out to dinner around three times a week--fast food one night, Rubio's Tacos another, and then maybe a sit down place on the third night.
Now, I cook 90% of my meals at home and have been saving money like crazy. I'm still spending it--just not on food!! :)
