600 Miles of Bad Road at Lowes Motor Speedway
posted June 1, 2007 - 6:15amTOYOTA Racing Development hasn't had any top-five finishes in NASCAR's NEXTEL Cup Series until the 600 mile Race at Lowes Motor Speedway.
The long race was marked by several multi-stockcar racecar skirmishes that resulted in a lot of wrecks and early departures by drivers with the bad luck
to have been caught-up in the chain-of-event-wrecks.
TOYOTA Camry driver Brian Vickers has been one of the more consistant teammembers, having an exchange of paint with Ricky Rudd on lap 281.
Brian Vickers made contact with the outside wall on lap 337 but managed to stay in the race through the many cautions, (all the racecars running at a reducede rate-of-speed under the "Yellow Flag" until the metal parts are removed from the track.)
The race is so long time-wise that it starts in the early afternoon and goes through the evening until well after nightfall.

The drivers with the most wins this year Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson had were lucky and were able to avoid the mass collisions at one hundred sixty miles-per-hour.
