Zeitgeist The Movie is one of the most intense movie experiences many people say they've ever had. It's a three part documentary that puts a significant percentage of viewers into a state called, "cognitive dissonance". Cognitive dissonance is described as new or alternative information impinging and infringing upon contrary and deeply held personal beliefs. It is common to zone out when in a state of cognitive dissonance, and to get to a point where one refuses to consider this new information at all.

A person in cognitive dissonance often gets emotional sometimes to the point of being irate, and tends to make sweeping generalizations against not only this new/alternative information, but everyone who believes it; often calling them names.

They will often view the world in two main categories; Those who believe as they do in regard to the information that sent them into cognitive dissonance, and the insane/stupid/pathetic/ridiculous people who actually believe it. It's very often difficult for a person in the cognitive dissonance state to discuss these contrarian world views without raising their voice, resorting to name calling or personal attacks.

In a lot of cases, over a period of time and/or repeated exposure to this alternative information an opening of the mind as to the possibility that it might have some merit is achieved. It is at this point that many people take an investigative approach and begin to actually study the information to ascertain either how much or how little of it may actually be feasible. If the person has it within their psychological make up to accept that some of their deeply held beliefs might be inaccurate or inappropriate, it is here where a conversion of perspective is known to take place and they are no longer threatened by this new information.

Zeitgeist: The Movie does not place everyone who views it into this state of mind, but I felt it important to give you a heads up.

Zeitgeist is a Grand Conspiracy documentary. Of the three sections, I feel that the first one is the most unnecessary, since it deals with religion; Christianity, in particular. Religion is SO deeply ingrained it's a tough sell in 40 minutes and I think it mostly just manages to get Christian viewers so deeply into cognitive dissonance
that it doesn't serve a purpose for parts 2 & 3. People of other religions and atheists won't have a problem with it, but that's a case of preaching to the choir almost.

Part 2 is 911. There's a great segue way where, in not so many words, they compare love of God to love of country and it is suggested that any American who would dare to accuse leaders of their country of being involved in 911 is simply a heretic and guilty of the ultimate sacrilege.

Much the same way as religion starts with basic tenets you are taught to just accept on faith, the official 911 story is set up the same way. The socio-political climate of 911 is such: Just as a good Christian (or fill in the blank religionist) can never question those articles of faith, a good American can't question the official 911 narrative. If you start out with the absolute, unquestionable belief that there are not elements of our government that would kill their own people, then you will simply not accept any information/evidence that is to the contrary. You can never seek truth if your goal is to merely prove yourself right.

What most people don't realize or want to admit is how much of our world view is shaped by what we see on the TEE-vee.
We assume if something is true, it would be reported on television. We still are believing in the fourth estate concept of our founding fathers; that the Press (media) is added to the three divisions of the government system of checks and balances built into the Constitution. How ironic
that those checks and balances have been largely erased, going back decades, especially the past 8 years; but we don't know it because the media has failed to tell us. It hasn't been on the Tee-vee, you see.

So here's the main point I want to impart to people who are going to view Zeitgeist: The Movie -- Don't worry about Part 1. Believe what you want to believe regarding religion. As long as you aren't forcing other people to share your beliefs, it really doesn't matter. Fast forward through part 1.

When watching the rest of this information that is being imparted to you, imagine that you have been getting this for years on the TV. Imagine investigative reporters were blowing the lid off these stories. Imagine you've heard all the eye witness accounts years ago on TV. Imagine the news covered it, and the news magazine shows; Dateline, 20/20, 60 Minutes.

Conversely, ask yourself why it wasn't reported on TV. Why most Americans never heard about the third tower falling on 911 for years, and that millions STILL don't know. How could that be? WHY would that be?

Continue the same perspective for the third, and last, section, which goes back some years to show some of the roots of this conspiracy framework where an elite and tiny group of people, own most of the wealth, and create organizations & manipulate events to gain even more control. These manipulations include the Federal Reserve System, major and many minor wars, the Great Depression, and the current movement to divide the world into a handful of sections (like the European Union) and merge them into a one world government. It will inform you about the North American Union comprised of Mexico, the U.S. and Canada, and the single common currency, the Amero; and the plans for micro-chipping everybody.

If cognitive dissonance is already kicking in, it would behoove you to ask what if there is something to this and you just don't know because you haven't been exposed to the information. Shouldn't you at least get the information to better ascertain the possibility? If it's real, then our best shot at averting it is knowing about it. If it's not real, then it's only a couple hours of your time...80 minutes if you fast forward through Part 1.

In the end, if you just flat out refuse to watch it, that just means you're chicken. *Putting thumbs under arms and flapping* Bwack Bwack Bwack BWACK.
