A Fictitious Conversation between
Jacque Cousteau and Nemo

Nemo: “Hey Jacque, Have you seen my father?”
Jacque: “Yes, Follow the turtles. How is our mother Nemo?”
Nemo: “My mother died along time ago.”
Jacque: “Oh no, she is not dead.”
Nemo: “Yes Jaque, I saw her die.”
Jacque: “No, our mother is not dead she is just very ill.”
Nemo: “Our mother?”
Jacque: “Yes, Nemo. Our mother, the sea. I am wondering how she is doing. I know that she is ill.”
Nemo: “I must confess, that sometimes I hate you humans, even though I know that there are some humans like yourself that really love our mother.”
Jacque: “Why is that Nemo?”
Nemo: “Why is that! If only you have seen what I have seen! Do you know how many of my friends and family have died, because of humans! I've seen many great and magnificent creatures eat large bags of plastic bags full of garbage from Cruise Liners and other great ships, suffer and slowly starve to death! I've seen how stupid humans are with their oil tankers! They should know ships are made to sink!
They should know this; they have only been sinking for the last five thousand years! They are so stupid! Even the first ship ran a ground! You know Noah's ark. It was even destined to run a ground. And man hasn't learned yet. Those ships are so big you think they would put a couple of tug boats on them as safety precautions, so if the engines on the tankers go out that the tugs could tow them to safety. That will not solve all the problems, but if they even save one oil tanker from running a ground they will have saved hundreds of thousands of creatures and themselves. And for as much money as they make you would think that the great oil tankers would have escort ships to lead the way to protect them from collisions, like during the human great wars. Plus, they will need them now for national security measures, sadly to say! You know what is a shame Jacque? That you humans put so much in store into the defense of your countries and so little into the defense of the sea. For if the sea dies, so does the world. You know maybe if they worked with Green Peace or some other organization, Green Peace would probably be more than willing to monitor the trash disposal of ships into the ocean. For, if you give your enemy power to keep you accountable, then accountable you shall be. Plus, it gives your so called enemy something to do."
Jacque: “Wow Nemo! I am so sorry. Will you forgive us humans?"
Nemo: “I does not matter if I forgive you. It only matters if our mother is strong enough to forgive you. For, if the sea is not able to forgive us, then it will not matter to any of us. For, as the sea fares, so fares the world."
