A Housefly Brought Me Laughter!

If you can carry your mind beyond the minefield of strongly and long-held beliefs that you may have about flies (or other "bugs"), I have an uplifting story to share.

I was continuing the work I've been doing on the house I mentioned in my last entry when along came a housefly! Normally my reaction is one of annoyance, but today I chose to be amused. Instead of brushing it off my skin and getting hostile, I paused and noticed that it tickled!

For the next ten minutes or so before I went to check on the clothes I had drying in the house, I just let the little booger dance and flit around on my arms and legs as it pleased.

I enjoyed the "nuisance" of a fly!

As you can tell, this was quite an epiphany for me - I found that I could turn something I usually thought of as troublesome into a wonderfully sensational game!

I am definitely going to do my best to maintain this state of mind whatever I am doing, no matter where I go...and in whatever company I find myself!
