A little "Trivium" insight.
posted June 28, 2008 - 12:26amTrivium.. One of the best bands I've come to know since I started listening to Metal. Trivium has released 3 CD's in the past, each one with its own unique and distinctive sound quality. There are 4 permanent members in the band, Matt Heafy which is the rhythm guitarist and lead vocals. Corey Beaulieu as the lead guitarist and back up vocals. Along with Pablo Gregletto on the Bass and Travis smith on the drums. Each member brings something to the table that just makes Trivium what it is today. Matt and Corey have always had alot of progressive and speed licks and solos in their music which flows greatly with Travis's complex drum patterns. Although it can be hard to heard Pablo, the bassist, his licks are just as advanced and skilled as the guitarist themselves. There CD's have all been different. Ember to Inferno was there first album, which was a much heavier style of music for Trivium, but also one that got them in the spotlight. Following was Ascendancy.. one of the greastest in my opinion. Very melodic and all of the music flows together so greatly. The Next is The Crusade, which had the same great guitar feel Trivium is known for, their vocals drifted toward more singing and less growls and screams, more of a Metallica like feel to it. They are currently working on another album at this time. This is the first band of this genre of every heard and it got me hooked. Their live concerts are just as good, even better than their albums. Check them out, well worth the time and money.
