A New Bird Flu Vaccine!

Reported in the Associated Press, a new bird flu vaccine which is made from lab grow cells instead of chicken eggs, show some promising result. Although this is still in the experimental stage. As of the moment, the United States has stockpiled 23 million doses of of egg based human bird flu vaccine which are made by three European companies.

This new bird flu vaccine is really a good news not just for preparationin in cases of pandemic but also it offers a way to make a seasonal flu much faster. Moreover, it could reduce dependence on the antiquated system of using millions of eggs to make flu vaccines helping production time cut in half.

As of the moment this vaccine is still being tested how well they worked in killing the H5N1 virus.
