A new drug which hleps smokers quit!

Reported on the Associated Press earlier is the recommendation of the drug Chantix for those who want to quit smoking. The drug has been linked with depression and suicidal behavior. A new guideline has been issued which mentions the psychiatric risk of using the drug as well as combining counseling and medication. This new recommendation has also lead to some issues one of which is that Chantix is a new drug and the connection of the lead author of the new guidelines who was a consultant of Pfizer, the maker of Chantix.
