A Noble Profession

I am preparing for my Nursing Licensure Examination here in the Philippines. Apart from plane lecture or discussion about the different concepts, theories, diseases and other concerns about nursing, The review center played the commercial by the Johnsons & Johnson about the tribute of Nurses. The commercial emphasizes the wide coverage of this profession and the impact that it contributes. Among the medical team we nurses are the one who has a direct or close contact with the client. We are the one who listens and give the first hand care. We are at their side during their pain, grieving, sorrows and joy from recovery.

Caring a patient in the hospital is not an easy job. Emotions is being involved in this profession, to be empathetic and showing a great concern for them.

This may not my first choice profession but i dont have a regret of taking this profession. I love taking care sick person and it is very fulfilling to see your patient recovering from their illnesses after giving the best care that you could give to your patients.

To all nurses in the world...I SALUTE You!
