I have to say this, because i thought i was being rude to people when i turned down their requests for being a buddy. It does need an explanation.

One thing is sure. I am not dying for buddies, neither am I hungry / lusting for some.

So when I do get a buddy request, and i am sure i am speaking for most of us, i try to see the profile of the person. Lo and behold i get a multiple "No answer"s in the profile. Now what do i base my decision on. The screen name of the user. I don't think i want to be tied up with an interesting screen name. I don't know about others, but, i want to know more about people before i approve them as my buddies.

My buddy posts is a smart thing, which lets me read all the posts by my buddies. I really don't want to inflate that list with bytes and blurbs, which will waste my time, just because i was being nice to people. And, seriously there is no point having buddies who are not even reading your articles.

By the way, two people whom i follow and respect on the site are not even on my buddy list. But true buddies, they are.

My request to all users is, go back to the profile page and update your profile. Then write some good content and send out the buddy requests, you will have much better results and the buddies will really be that, buddies.
