Once upon a time, in a small town known as Knoxton, lived a young fellow named Peter. Peter’s an intelligent person, but he didn’t have many friends or family to support him. He had been living in the streets and in the abandoned fire station with Uncle Bob, a transient. One day a visiting college professor, Dr. Jean Pierre, encountered him. Dr. Jean Pierre, a sociology professor decided to interview the young man. After a lengthy conversation, they seemed to have a bond with one another. On that day, Dr. Pierre decided to adopt him and put him through proper education. Peter, whose formal education was only of a 3rd grade level, was extremely bright. Two years later, at 17 years of age, he graduated the nearby Overpeach Community College, where Dr. Pierre worked. Peter was armed with an Associates Degree in Business. Dr. Pierre offered him a job at the college, but Peter declined it. He knew he owed a lot to Dr. Pierre, but he wanted to be self-reliant. He wanted to try to find a job at the Provincial Government, as an administrative assistant or something along the lines, out in Capitol City. Dr. Pierre offered to drive him, but he declined that too. With five dollars and a set of extra clothing, he began on a journey of 120 miles to Capitol City. To be continued…
