Aarti Chhabria was born in a Sindhi speaking Chhabria family on November 21st, 1982. She started modeling as a toddler featuring in the poster ads of ‘Parle-G’ and many other big brands. At a young age of sixteen, Aarti shot to fame as a fashion model & won the Miss India pageant participating in the Worldwide competition in 2000.Aarti started her career as a fashion model shot into fame at the age of 16 when she was crowned Miss India worldwide in 2000.

Aarti was back on the modeling block and bagged lead roles in music videos & commercial advertisements. And after appearing in numerous ads she finally got director Raj Kumar Santoshi spot her in one of her commercials and offered her a role in the multistarrer ‘Lajja’ and Aarti reluctantly accepted it as it was a great opportunity to work with a renowned director despite the offered role being a short one.

Aarti finally made her debut in Bollywood with 'Tum Se Aacha Kaun Hai' in 2002 that bombed at the box office only to earn a role in Vikram Bhatt's Awaara Pagal Deewana, which also released in 2002. Aarti worked alongside a number of top actors in Bollywood, including Govinda, Fardeen Khan, Sohail Khan, Vivek Oberoi, Tushar Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor and Akshay Kumar, over a period of nearly eight years. But so far, she has not been blessed with a commercial success, that could give her a much coveted break.

Aarti tasted success down south accepting bold roles which made her a superstar in the South Indian movie industry that inspired her to get a spot in bollywood. After lying low for a couple of years, Aarti is back as a conservative Muslim belle in love with an underworld don in Sanjay Gupta’s ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’. Well, the news now is that the gorgeous and gifted actress is back with a bang with Shashi Ranjan's new film Dhoom Dhadaka! in which Aarti's dancing skills will yet again come into play as she is all set to play an actress and item girl in the film.
