This ab workout is known as doing cruches.
What makes crunches so effective is that they don't strain or stress the back. You are simply looking for a small upward movement of the back usually 6 to 10 inches off the ground. Most people when they are doing ab workouts, try and do situps and then end up hurting themselves because their back can handle the strain.
I recommend that your ab workout be done slowly and use proper technique. Now that you have the ab crunch down, make sure to include your exercise program with a proper diet. No sugar and few carbs possible. I know what you're thinking, that's about impossible. However, if you change your diet now you will see the pounds burn off and stay off forever. Your craving for junk food will disappear and you will look great in just a few short weeks.
