well, how can i start. i think i'm gonna do a trip to europe very soon, due to personal reasons (besides holidays and all that stuff). and i'd wish to know more about cheap accomodation in cities such as london, düsseldorf, munich, basel and vienna. and i'd be thankful if anybody tell me if i can buy an train ticket in europe per destination, instead of purchasing any eurail pass. and what about public transport in the main cities, how does the payment method work, and many other tips.

any tip will be more than welcome. if it all works at last, i'm gonan write a trip "diary" mixing some personal experiences along with some tips, and maybe links with some pics.
