About the Kathy Griffin Suck It Jesus Video

this is a racist video, and should be banned, or taken off.

The Xomba staff looks at it and sometimes comments that they do not think it racist or prurient sexy enough to remove so it stays there.

I am not going to look at the racist video now, maybe later. I like sensational and interesting as much as anyone, but it wears thin without intellectual or solid content, and just heats the room -- as it appears the superficial seems to a major fare now. If it is a racist thing is it with in the TOS?

We can disuss Racism, with meat and potatoes, coffee and cake, but discussion of content and the use of a racist provocation (or should we call that provokation) is a typical choice for content, but not much writing thought.

I do not even know if the flag works anymore. . .but if you make a case you might see it removed, or if the video itself is offensive, and makes your case too. Viola!

I want to think about other things, so I will skip this for now.

I will not dare look at the video, the title itself is too much for me. There are possibilities, since DeDom has given picture of himself in his profile, this could cause problems for him in RL.
Its only a 'could', but posting videos like this, isn't very wise. It can only bring trouble.

You both have obviously not watched the video. It is anything but racist. If you read the title it says ABOUT, in the beginning. It is a kid debating whether it was right or wrong for what Griffin said. Any why would a picture of myself bring trouble to me. lol. Talking about things without knowing what your talking about can also only bring trouble.

I do not understand how the title is racist at all...
This has nothing to do with race unless I missed something.

Furthermore, this video is commentary on what Kathy Griffin said at an award show which has to do with religion.

Giving the fact that Xomba stands by the 1st Amendment of the United States (because we are based in the US) and giving the fact that this post does not break any of our rules on Google Adsense (Youtube is owned by Google and allows this video to be hosted there) we will not take down this post.

Surely, this nothing video clip fits into all three categories and must be therefore, a brilliant statement of something.

Nick is right. 1st amendment. Say anythingy you want, and others will strive to make content out of it. I respond to DeDom saying we had not understood what the video was about.

To gain an understanding of the reason the other commenter felt it racist, which it isn't, I decided to waste time confirming that it was a superficial bit of fare, but like nick posted google owns youtube, so it must be okay.

I won't tell you what I really think of it, since, well.

On trouble to yourself. As you mature, and you might, you will probably want to go back and edit what you have placed as tracks of you on this internet thing. I look back at some of my posts, my comments and I see I have embarrassed my self and should not have made the comments or statements. Assuming you mature -- you too, will find that you exposed your mind so that people could characterize, perhpas the wrong things about you.

More than ten years ago on UUnet there are still traces of me, that thankfully are not too bad.

That is one thing about the Internet--when a medium becomes available to the average person, the medium runs the risk of becoming average. I guess that's one way to explain the popularity of YouTube and one of the reasons I only go there when linked to something specific that concerns me. Otherwise, it's like the video equivalent of the adolescent Im-spam that gives me a headache trying to decypher.

I definitely agree with you about the maturing process and wanting to take back something posted. I look back on my relatively short time on the Internet full-time, which is about eight years now, and don't know whether I want to laugh or cry about some of the things I have written based on attitudes I once held or things I "thought" I knew but which were found false under further examination.

I need to clear up my factual ignorance by sharing this brilliant private repartee from dedom. It illustrates the maturity thing. It demonstrates he has a real developed sense of humor, and does not know what old is and what old gets you.

Dedom, as intimated above, you can make trouble for yourself. But this is brilliant!

I apologise, if the video was not racist, but I still stand my decision. I really don't like the title, and to me- its racist.
But thats just my opinion. .

Admittedly it seems like I called the video racist, and did only to identify it as the thing Encon was referring to.

I think its depth and quality speaks for itself.

I do not see any racism there in just the depth and quality I mention. Is there anything there? There is nowhere?

I will not post here on this comment string again, since to do so increases the read score for such a trivial nothing -- that If the comments need to be made, lets do it somewhere else that has value. Small minds? I gotta get outa this string. S'long
