As evidence contrary to the current mantra of Global Warming, an active volcano has been found under the rapidly-melting western ice sheet in Antarctica. If Man and Man's pollution is the sole cause of Global Warming, greenhouse gases, and the diminishing polar ice caps, as some pundits, pols, and quasiscientists claim, that must mean Man has created this volcano. Interesting feat.

The effects of this volcano aside, this is what happens when common sense and real science take a back seat to political expediency. As long as there is money to be made and reigns of power over the masses to be tightened, we will see governments and government shills, like Al Gore, use whatever means necessary to manipulate the masses into believing that we are all basically screwed unless we turn over our freedom and futures to the Global Plantation to ensure that we have are safe.

No one is exempt from this new religion. Not unlike George Bush's "if you are not for us, you are for the terrorists", there is no middle ground when dealing with these new fundamentalists. If you don't buy into Man being the whole cause of greenhouse gases, the polar icecaps melting, and the hole in the ozone layer over Antarctica, then you are a heretic worthy of scorn, ridicule, and eventual imprisonment.

Like a voice crying out in the wilderness, real scientists with no political agendas continue to research and find alternative reasons why this is happening and, courageously facing public ridicule and censure by people they should call colleagues, they bring the truth to light--a truth as inconvenient as anything claimed by Al Gore in his two junk science books Earth in the Balance and An Inconvenient Truth.

I applaud the efforts of the real scientists who are out there in the field looking for the true root causes of global warming because it is their research and findings that will give us a genuine starting point from which to create a plan to move past this apparent threat to our future.

The alternative is the enslavement of the human race on the Global Plantation of the power elite--the same elites who now demand that we ride public transportation to reduce pollution yet drive their expensive gas-guzzling SUV's and luxury cars and who move their pollution-belching factories from the regulation of the US to unregulated third-world countries ready to be polluted and exploited. If global warming were such a threat, the very people in power in this country would not have to cover up their environmental misbehavior via the power of a complicit mainstream media or flee oversight by hiding their activities overseas.

I am all for responsible stewardship of the Earth done through common sense education and action at the local level, but I am very much against a corporate-government hegemony leading to higher taxes, de facto enslavement, and complete loss of our freedom and liberties.
