Adam Vinatieri Misses Two Field Goals as Chargers Hand Colts Second Straight Loss
posted November 12, 2007 - 1:30amFollowing the Colts' first loss of the season last week against the Patriots, it seemed on Sunday that the team was cursed. Adam Vinatieri, the kicker whose last-second field goals won two Super Bowls for the Patriots, missed two routine field goals on Sunday night that could have won the game for Indianapolis.
With 1:31 left in the game, Vinatieri missed a 29-yard field goal attempt, and San Diego held on to win the game 23-21. Vinatieri also missed a 42-yard field goal try as time ran out in the second quarter.
Vinatieri wasn't the only Colt having a very bad day, as QB Peyton Manning set a franchise record by throwing six interceptions in one game.
