Aging Seniors Have More Aging in Place Options Than Ever

According to a recent AARP survey, 90 percent of aging seniors prefer to stay in their own home as long as possible. Although sometimes financial and physical reality gets in the way of their first preference, a growing cottage industry has developed that helps aging seniors stay in their own homes as long as possible. A number of organizations and companies now provide assistance to home-alone seniors, as well as many hospitals who cater to seniors in need through their home health care programs. Meals on Wheels and other home food delivery options provide healthy meals. Although sometimes it is safer to live outside the home, this article shows how a growing number of aging seniors can stay in their home until the end of their life.
