Traveling with bags and purse, coats, travel pillow, books and kids it can be easy to misplace a laptop.  Thieves watch for  opportunities and in seconds can distract or switch cases quickly.  Juggling to get through security or simply parked in your seat on the bus to the rental car agency,  simple steps can be taken to make sure you traveling smart. 

1)  Arrive early and take only check in things to the checkin.  Minimize the things you take on board and check in as much as possible. If that is not possible arrirve early and use curbside checkin or rent the luggage carts. If you antipate problems ask a friend to come and help.

2) Use a newer security case for your laptop and mark the laptop with something colorful so that you identify it easily . Keep a shee of information about your laptop (serial number ) in with your travel documents. Label the case with your information . 

3) Always loop handles of bags or  straddle your bags and cases while waiting in lines. Be aware of what is happening around you.

4) Go through security line at the same time or just  before your laptop slides through security x-ray. Make sure you are retrieving only YOUR items. .
