Allright Xombies, What am I doing wrong?

Allright Xombies, What am I doing wrong?

Am I doing something wrong on xomba? I seem to be making practically nothing.

On triond.com I make an average of about 30-80 cents a day without uploading anything new. Sometimes I can make over a dollar a day if some of my articles go viral, and other times I’ve made even more than that. I've made practically nothing from Xomba in three months. Also, some of my articles have generated hundreds of views (such as Void), but these views don't seem to show up on my adsense account. What’s going on here? Thinking about this, I reckon that that’s only been happening since the site upgrade… maybe that’s just me though. Is it just that my writing isn’t focused enough on topics that generate clicks? Did I set up my ad sense account wrong (would account for me not seeming to get impressions from Xomba). What do you think people? I joined Xomba so I could hone my art while still getting some cash for it (I want to be a professional writer some day), and it just isn’t happening.

Any tips and advice? Any ideas why things don’t seem to be going right? Anyone been through something similar? Any help you can all offer would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

-Evis T.

its ok

i am just aiming for a house in the suburbs with my earnings - i like the quiet, no-frills, inexpensive life there. just give me a quarter of a century here! Idle, I can't really think of a reason why i assumed you to be amongst those who do well at Xomba except 1) - you write good informative content 2) you are prolific 3) you spend a lot of time at xomba 4) you are a Hall of Famer 5) many of us look up to you 5) you get a lot of reads (thank God they are back!) 6) you generally are present amongst the Top ten posts 7) you read and give cohesive comments on many posts 8, 9, 10, etc etc etc :-):-) My writings here My profile here My Xomba blog

Sorry:(

I thought you were the one who made enough money to buy the car. Guess I was wrong - sorry. Ok - DO NOT READ ANY OF MAMAMIA07 POSTINGS - EVER! ;) Just Kidding - I suggest reading as many posts as possible by all the top people and go from there.

Re: whatup!

Hey! What's wrong with me? I don't see myself in the same category as DeDom or champagne in terms of earnings ... and besides, Whatup didn't even mention me. I don't make nearly the amount of money that DeDom does (according to what Xomba says he makes). I have no idea how much champagne makes. And I try to provide good quality content, not just Google Trends blurbs (which is DeDom's specialty... not saying there's anything wrong with that, it's just that blurbs are his specialty)

In Short, Don't Be "Here for the Money"

Workshop

You need to come to the workshop. If you haven't already you need to go through the money making guide found in the top left corner. Yes, all three levels. If you've been here almost 3 months you should just now be reading the Expert level. Your Void story is getting lots of reads from Stumbleupon.com. Your Adsense seems to be running properly. You're experiencing the same problem as others who are not making money. There isn't a high search demand for the topics you are writing about. Which is fine unless you want to make money. Your titles need better work as well. Remember when coming up with your title make sure it contains keywords or a phrase that people would search for.

whatup!

pls dont take my name in the same breath as dedom, rawnak, idle or champagne! thanks for the confidence anyways:-) My writings here My profile here My Xomba blog

Adsense

To be certain you are properly linked to adsense why dont you link your high reads articles url to adsense? Here's how you do it. http://xomba.com/make_money_advanced#urls you will know for certain then whether you are properly linked to adsense. Make Money. Join XOMBA! Of Course

The best advice is to go to that workshop. Other than that I can tell you a couple of things. Be specific in your topics - when people search they are looking for info so the more you can narrow your field the better - your ads will relate more to your topics so better chances for clicks. See the Scrap Metal post that has generated a thousand dollars. Make sure your linking your writings to as many sites as possible. Make sure your are using (I believe its called) google trends for topics to write on (search xomba tips and read all their faqs and guides for more). Write as much as possible - the more you put out the more likely you are to hit on something. Look at the people who are making money and see what they are doing - Dedom, mamamiia07,rawnak to name a few. You are not going to make much off of fiction so be prepared if that is what your writing. And again go to the workshop - nick and jeremy are very good at giving help and if you listen to them you will make money.
