Amateur Treasure Hunter Finds Huge Anglo-Saxon Treasure on Friend's Farm

Terry Herbert, a 55-year old treasure hunting hobbyist was searching around his friend's farm with his trusty metal detector when he stumbled upon a large cache of, what turned out to be, Anglo-Saxon treasure of gold, silver and gem encrusted items. Such a large find (over 1300 items and growing) has got historians and archaelogists buzzing about the importance of such a find in learning more about the Anglo-Saxons and medieval England.

The location of the site is now being held secret and it is being excavated by professionals. The auction of these items to museums is expected to fetch the treasure hunter and his farmer friend millions!

So, next time you see that guy tooling around with his metal detector, just remember that you can never tell what he may dig up!
