If Eggs could only sing and dance
posted September 12, 2008 - 12:26amI like watching American movie classics called musicals from the old silver screen era with men like Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire, Eddie Albert, and James Cagney starring in them.
They wore the best clothes, had the most ambition and they got to sing and dance with the most beautiful women of their day. They were what were called men’s men. Always quick to stand up when a lady entered the room, observed the ladies first rule, and always held the door open for her. A man’s man was also just as quick to stand up with a straight right hand to the jaw when the lady was insulted. Oh yea, Fred Astaire would let you know what for. Then they’d be singing and dancing in tuxedos. It is what I call great and exciting entertainment.
Fred Astaire is trying to get out of paying for his dinner. He is a famous dancer and performer and has left his wallet in the hotel room. He ends up paying by dancing. Ginger Rogers is awesome too. At the very end Fred Astaire really gets dancing. He is amazing. This is close to six minutes of pure entertainment and fun.
Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers - I Won't Dance
I have come to the conclusion I was born ninety years too late. Whenever I wear a tuxedo it is because I have to serve a banquet.
