America's Helium Supply Will Be Depleted in 8 Years

This is the most interesting article I have read in some time. Did you know that helium is a non-renewable resource with America's largest reserve found in Amarillo, Texas?

Supplies are being depleted so rapidly that America is expected to run out of the element in eight years.

There are many consequences to the depletion of helium. The impact on scientific research and technological innovations alone are enough to try to recycle it.

Recycling helium? Yes, it's an option. Perhaps the balloon industry alone would be interested in funding that project.
