Amish Heater Ripoff. Save Your Money. Heatsurge Scam

There is an intensive ad campaign going on about the Amish Heatsurge or Heat Surge heater. It goes like this: You get up to two heaters free just for buying a mantle. Kind of like, you get the house free just by buying the coat of paint that surrounds it. There is a new ripoff scam every day and I am sad to announce that the Amish have joined the bandwagon, or at least some of them. Most of them probably don't even know of the slick marketing campaign that is spreading across the nation. Amish heaters are made in China or "the China coast" as it is stated in the newspaper and ads in magazines like Popular Electronics. The mantle, which is nothing more than a cheap piece of wood surrounds the Heat Surge heater from "the coast of China". These units give off no more heat than any other cheap plug in heater. The maximum for any plug in electric heater is 5100 BTU's and that is all they put out. Try heating a house with one of these at twelve cents a kilowatt (you will need ten of them by the way) and your electricity bill will be over a thousand dollars.
