An Open Letter to My Fellow Xombies

An Open Letter to My Fellow Xombies

I have been a member of Xomba for about 15 or 16 months now. During that time, I've seen Xomba grow from Nick's baby into something that is fast approaching a household name. I've seen people come and people go, but there are many people who are still active today that were here before me.

Even during that time, my personal growth has gone from recognizing some things about myself that I wanted to change (and am still changing in some aspects) to pushing to make the world a better place, not just for my sake or my family's sake, but for all those other people in the world's sakes.

See, my personality and character do not permit me to condone or allow injustice. I want fair play for everyone and have the expectation that others will follow suit. Those who have followed my writing for much of the past year will see it.

The challenge for me, something that I admittedly did not do well, is not allowing that dealing with the darker corners of my soul in debating the injustices of the world to color who I am or my writing. I am a being of Light and I operate best when I am working for the Greater Good, on my ordained path.

Therefore, I want to apologize for the articles that I have written in the political and religious arena over the past couple of months. Not only did I veer from my true path in using positive energy to effect positive change to garner peace in the world, but I lowered my energy's vibration level in order to debate what I know in my heart I could not change.

If I was writing my words in a vacuum or in my personal journal to get them out of my head, then the potential damage would have ended there. With my putting them on the Internet, they will be out in the ether for potentially ever.

I am owning my mistakes and I am formally apologizing for judging others with my writing, specifically Publius, lmorovan, eggsoveresy, and Free SEO Services. Judging others does more harm to ourselves and the world than most anything else we can do, so I am taking back that energy that I put out and I will not participate in those discussions again.

As you all will see in my writing is a return to the things I can change and ways that we together can effect positive changes in the world. There is still tremendous potential left in this world before we cross that threshold of "beyond the point of no return" and I am grateful for Nick and Xomba and the ability to share that journey with everyone.

Thanks for reading this short missive.

I guess you have a

I guess you have a point. For the record...I've never gazed at my navel. I don't even know what those words mean. You need to use less of that college vocabulary. *If you're interested in reading my articles, Click Here.

Testimonials

I think for the reasons you mention... Xomba doesn't want the top posts list full of articles like "why I love Xomba" or "how to make money on Xomba," "what Xomba means to me," or the like. Such articles usually get lots of votes, so I guess Xomba figures that having articles like that filling up the top posts lists will make Xomba look like a bunch of self-reflexive navel gazers (which we are, of course, but we don't necessarily want to publicize it). Maybe it's been decided that this article is different because it's less about Xomba than about personal change and one's approach to life.

The article I just wrote

The article I just wrote about my two year anniversary was taken out of the "Internet" category and placed into "Testimonials" - even though it was more an assessment of my internet experience in general. (Perhaps I mentioned Xomba too much.) It was on the "Top 10" list, but is now buried and forgotten. Oh, well. Personally, I don't see why Xombytes that have to do with this site are not allowed in the "Top 10" list. It seems kind of backwards to me - it almost encourages people to not write about Xomba. Why do that if your work has no chance to be rewarded with such an honor as being in the top 10 for a week? *If you're interested in reading my articles, Click Here.

Top posts list

I thought posts about Xomba aren't eligible to be on the top posts list? None of Taprial's humorous posts of Xombie conversations, for example, have been on the list, even though they got lots of votes.

Wow! Already at the top!

And not even once did he mention boobs...(well, except for Publius, lmorovan, eggsoveresy, and Free SEO). That has to be a first..

But I like being judgmental! Vote in the US, and you too

Can Be Judgmental! I, too, look forward to improved human conditions. Nice missive. I campaigned for AuH20. Really. But some years later, a friend asked me to think back, average fellows that we are and were, and to determine betwixt the Democrat and Republican administrations which one was an improvement for the common everyday Joe, the average American. He suggested I use only my experience as background. In other words, really, under what flavor of admin was I better-off. Even though you folks are nearly all too young to judge the human conditions, perhaps you will live long enough to judge your own circumstances. It took Nixon to show me he was crook for all seasons. It took Carter to show me that in voting for Ford, I had made the wrong choice. Maybe most of you do not have a basis from which to judge or assess your condition or the rest of the planet's human conditions. But, for me, I do have the basis. I will continue to be judgmental -- unless I am outlining a fictional character. Then I might soften up. There are a lot of purely fictional character's on Xomba. Kudo's for the missive. (+) See. That is being judgmental.

nope

Your just in time SEO. Eggsovresy

Wow, Jdubhub

That was really brave of you. I liked reading all your other articles, and had generally stopped reading when you started writing about politics. I am looking forward to more of your articles. You do write very well. You are a good man, there were no doubts on that score. :-))
