and sometimes my life is a chick flick: PART 1

when i first saw him, i wasn't attracted to him at all. well actually, i wasn't acttracted to anyone. i was in college to concentrate on becoming a filmmaker. it kinda caught me off guard when this tall, eastern european with bad hair, red face and hairy ass always hanging out took interest in me. who would've ever thought i'd fall in love with the likes of him?
perhaps you are wondering why i would speak so harshly of the man i love? its not very harsh. i'm just used to instantly spotting bad hair because i had worked in a salon for so long.
anyways, after i made it completely clear that i was not interested in anything more than a platonic relationship, we started hanging out regularly. as we got to know each other, we realized that we had a lot more in common than being film students. we both loved to drink, listen to hiphop, and watch breakdancing movies.
as our friendship grew, he began asking me for advice on clothing and hairstyles. i treated him like a client and took on the challenge. we got rid of his nappy shaggy locks and he now sports a dyed feuxhawk (a bit cliche i know, but the cut really sweetens his face!). clothing went from oversized shirts and pants to western shirts, Banana Republic, and so on. i taught him the importance of a good shampoo and especially a good conditioner-the kind that can only be purchased in salons, and even how to apply product. i think this was a span of three months.
we were practically inseparable. we callaborated in film, art, and writing projects. we drank and got hungover together. we had intelligent conversations together.
i had made a friend who could really understand me and help me accelerate my artistic skills.
