Andrew Lahde Retirement Letter - So Long, And Thanks For Alle the Money
posted October 25, 2008 - 6:41amHedge fund Manager Andrew Lahde retired last week at the age of 37. In his retirement letter he states that he hates the hedge fund business and that he was only in it for the money. He also says that one of the ways he and others made money was by sitting on the fence waiting for the inevitable subprime debacle.
In his letter he moves on to critize educational institutions, and the U.S. government as well as capitalism itself. At the end of the letter he goes off on a rant about why hemp should be legalized.
Andrew Lahde was one of the most succesful hedge fund managers achieving over 1000% return in one year with one of his funds.
