Angelina Jolie- The Beautiful and the Benevolent.
posted March 4, 2007 - 11:48amAngelina Jolie, the celebrity actress and one of the popular and most beautiful women of our time, is again on headlines. The report says that, this time the celebrity actress has chosen a Vietnamese child for adoption. Reports from Vietnam, where the actress and Brad Pitt, her boy friend are on a visit, states that she has already moved papers for the adoption. The couple have presently three children, a five year old son , Maddix, adopted from Cambodia, a two year old daughter Zahara adopted from Ethiopia, and their own biological daughter Shiloh, who was just born in May last year for the couple. The recent visit of the celebrity couple to India, had made headlines and raised much curiosity.
It may be recalled here that Angelina had recently appeared on the cover page of the People magazine and topped in the list of 100 most beautiful people of the world. She had appeared in the magazine’s list thrice before, though not on the cover page.
We need to learn a few lessons from this beauty queen of the movie world, who finds time to visit the slums and share their grief. As a good will ambassador of UNHCR, she has made indelible impression as a philanthropist par excellence. One need to remember that this sexy actress who had 2 divorces, and who gave birth to one girl child recently , still finds time to care for the ailing toddlers and is magnanimous enough to adopt three children from three different countries within a span of few years.
When many a celebrity is on headlines these days after separations and divorces, makes news, having caught wearing panties, or by shaving off their heads, here is a woman who finds time amidst her busy schedule and personal problems to work for the amelioration of these children of lesser God, who are neglected and left to the mercy of their pitiable fate.
