Announcing Hennes & Mauritz AB, H&M's Grand Scottsdale Opening

Hennes & Mauritz AB, H&M plan to open a Scottsdale, AZ store sometime in late October/early November in Scottsdale Quarter, an upscale retail center at 15279 N. Scottsdale Road.

Of course, plans were made for June but the opening date was pushed back.  It will be across the street form the new Kierland Commons on Scottsdale Road in Scottsdale.

H&M is a Swedish store and it contains discount prices for trendy fashions, and has benefited from customers leaving the higher priced retailers due to the recession.

It offers clothes for all ages but caters to teenagers and young adults.

Men'spants start at $24.95 and women's skirts begin at $19.95. Sale racks abound where you can find shirts for $5 and sweaters for $10.00

H&M stores feature an ever changing inventory in their men's and women's departments and top designers including Karl Lagerfield, Stella McCartney and Jimmy Choo. Designs stay on the shelf for about 10 weeks before selling out;hence the ever changing inventory.

Jennifer Lopez last year wore a coat bought at H&M, and Michelle Obama a dress.

Celebrities shop at the Los Angeles store for the red carpet, and the store reflects the latest trends in clothing for men, women, teens, and children.

Also it will be good for the economy. H&M employs about 73,000 people worldwide and expects to hire about 45 people for the Scottsdale store!
