Anti HIV gel for women needs further testing

An anti AIDS or HIV gel disappointed researchers due since it failed make it through the last stage in testing. In a study of 6,000 South African Women, the gel failed to stop the infection. However, the low used of gel among the women was probably the result of usage failure since women use it less than half of the number of times they had sex and only 10 percent used is as directed. The researchers are still studying the result in order to come with the necessary findings and recommendation and are planning to come up with more test hoping that the drug will work better. There were anti HIV gels that were introduced before but during the late stage of study, it was halted since it was found out that it might raise the risk of HIV infection instead of lowering. This new gel however is completely safe but needs further study and development. Commonly in poor countries, it is advisable to use female controlled method in preventing HIV or aids since most women can't control men or persuade men to use condoms
