It's funny, I hadn't heard much about the anti Valentine's Day movement til this year. Evidently lots of people hate Valentine's Day with a passion, and want to protest it as a useless and commercialized holiday. I think even if you don't have a lover or spouse, Valentine's Day is to show love and affection for others, like even a friend, relative, or pet! I don't begrudge others their Valentine's Day celebrations, with stuffed animals and Hallmark cards, even though I'm single this year. I do agree that its often over commercialized and a little cheesy at times! So I don't get the often hateful Anti Valentines thing, people spray painting things black, cutting the heads off roses, watching violent movies, avoiding anything sentimental. I'm reading a lot about Anti V-Day and it always surprises me, the negative sentiments it brings.
