Anti-Virus Softwares Are Becoming Weaker Over Time

In a report to be released by German technological magazine, c't, anti-viruses are becoming weaker over time. A study performed by c't showed that anti-virus software such as Avira AntiVir and Gdata Antivirus 2008 are able to detect 99% of viruses. But further studies show that most antiviruses fall short when detecting new and unknown viruses by an accuracy rate of 40-50%.
