Who is this Antonella Barba girl? I have heard her name thrown around recently and never took the time to learn who she is. Apparently, I am one of the few people walking this earth who has not seen American Idol.

Antonella Barba is the newest American Idol celebrity, which is its own category of fame. All of a sudden all these pictures of this girl popped up everywhere on hundreds of thousands of blogs and I was thinking to myself, "who is this girl?"

The Antonella pics look just like any college girl's pics, so I thought she was just some good-looking college girl who somehow had achieved online fame. I thought it was something like the LonelyGirl15 phenomenon.

But it turns out, no, Antonella is not your average person, she's just your average singer who happened to make it onto the biggest show in the world--American Idol.
