Appalachian State University Football – 2008 Season

Last year Appalachian State shocked the college football world with an upset victory over the University of Michigan. This year, the back-to-back Division I National Champions aren't resting on their laurels: the Mountaineers are starting their 2008 foortball season by taking on national champion Louisiana State University at Baton Rouge. That game takes place on August 30th at 8 p.m.

The Mountaineers' home schedule kicks off the next week with a Sept. 6th matchup against Jacksonville. Other home games include Presbyterian, The Citadel, Furman, Wofford, and Elon. You can find the entire 2008 Appalachian State football schedule online at www.GoASU.com .

Appalachian State is located in Boone, North Carolina, and the Mountaineers play their games at Kidd Brewer Stadium, known as “The Rock,” in Boone.

Head coach Jerry Moore, the three-time AFCA coach of the year, will be leading the Mountaineers once again.
