Apple is touting the new iPhone 3G as "twice the phone, half the price": Phone, iPod, and Internet in one 3G device. Here is a quick overview of the features and specs: < p>
* On-sale date: July 11th in the U.S. and about 20 other countries
* Price: $199 for 8GB; $299 for 16GB
* Faster Web surfing and downloads with 3G
* Enterprise features: delivers push email, calendar, and contacts with Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync
* Built-in GPS so you can find your location, get directions, and see traffic conditions
* "App Store" lets you browse and buy applications for your iPhone
* One app of interest is the loopt social search application. Loopt supposedly lets users use social networking features to call, text, and invite buddies, and see their locations on a map
* The MobileMe service that replaces the existing .mac service, as well as the me.com Web site to sync mail, contacts, and other items
* Apple iPhone 2.0 software package built in; package also available to current iPhone owners
* Weight: 4.7 ounces
