Apple's killer move: Apple to design its own chip.

Rumors are rife in the web that Apple is about to build its own chips something Apple has never done before. At Apple every endeavor is a moon shot, if Apple could pull this off this could be great and maybe one o f the greatest thing Apple has ever done. It could make Apple a true symbol of innovation but this sounds crazy for a Company like Apple, It doesn’t have the background or the experience to design its own chips. For me Apple’s main strategy here is quite simple, to keep its signature devices such as iPod and iPhone. Competitors will find harder for them to knock off Apple’s signature devices. The said strategy will prevent Apple’s competitors from copying Apple’s signature devices. Well for me Apple just wants to make a clean break or just to keep it competitors at bay preventing them from cloning the iPhone. Imagine Apple will build chips that no one else can use. According to VentureBeat if Apple could pull this off then it could declare independence from chipmaker Intel, Samsung and some Taiwanese chipmaker companies. I’m sure Apple does have the formidable resources to design its own chips. Apple reportedly got $ 29 Billion in the bank that’s huge amount of money is well enough to build its own chips, well for a Company like Apple it’s going to be more expensive and quite suicidal. Designing it sown chips are crucial for Apple’s survival as a powerhouse in the consumer electronics market. Competition are getting tough and brutal, Apple have been waging wars on almost every companies in the world. The Company without a doubt needs a much faster chip and can run graphically rich apps. But for Apple it could be a much tougher game to play. Almost very companies in the technology world got the ambitions to dethrone Apple or simply steal the spotlight away from Apple. The Company’s main competitors have already draw their own battle plan, each are preparing to launch its won killer devices, competitors like Palm is always on the move even Microsoft reportedly preparing an iPhone rival. Is Apple really needs to design its own chips? Well absolutely yes! If Apple succeeds in designing its own chips it could maintain its dominant position in the consumer electronics market. It would also keep a lot of technologies value internal to the Company since it wouldn’t have to outsource its chips to Samsung (Samsung are one of Apple fierce competitor) or Intel. Chip design is a very tough business it will not going to be an easy play for Apple, Company like Intel or AMD have armies of engineers dedicated to the task of designing chips. If Apple makes its own chips it could be a milestone for the Company. And for those Apple’s competitors out there their days are numbered.

Apple revenge

Apple is taking market share from Microsoft and could perhaps at least get the respect it deserves. Does anyone remember how Microsoft "stole" Apples graphic based operating system and called it "Windows".

Will Apple Win

Apple is going to be facing some tough competition from Google, they will need every asset they can muster. Join Xomba and get PAID to write Articles Like The One Above
