Are We Heading For a World War ?

Are We Heading For a World War ?

But seriously all the news of the last couple of days reflect a lot of hostile action and intentions displayed by various nations.

First it was the Russian Vacuum bomb, the father of all bombs. Now Israel has declared the gaza strip as a hostile state, America has already been busy in Afghanistan and Iraq. Talking of iraq, maybe they have run out of soldiers, so the American troops are busy halting the civilian convoys. Gotta do something while they are there. Iran on the other hand is ready to attack israel. France is ready to attack Iran. Sri Lanka is having a war with the LTTE. Pakistan is already having enough problems inside and would be glad if some external event took the attention away. The news is so depressing these days that i might have missed a dozen of other nations in similar circumstances.

Sudan, sierra leone, somalia, nigeria and the likes are also involved in serious trouble.

Al Qaeda is back. Did they ever leave? They are totally non aligned and can attack any country. Very soon they might even camouflage their attack to seem like a hostile action by one nation against the other and succeed in breaking out a full fledged war between the two. Alignments will naturally follow and there, you have it.

A little more background...

The Israeli Air Force's little foray into Syria recently was to probe for weaknesses in the Russian-built Pantsyr-S1E air defense system. This combination missle/gun system was supplied to Syria and Iran. Advanced Russian Air Defense Missile Cannot Protect Syrian and Iranian Skies As for Iran threatening to attack Israel if Israel attacks Iran, it's called self-defense. If you punch me in the nose, of course I am going to hit back. What the Chickenhawks in Washington fail to realize is that Iran--unlike Iraq--hasn't suffered 12 years of sanctions and has a legitimate military threat and an army of 12 million men under arms, including reserves and militias. Iran's missles control the approach to the Persian Gulf, the Straits of Hormuz, and can financially cripple the world and its oil supply, if provoked. France has threatened Iran, but has since backed off to a more diplomatic stance. France backs down on words of war with Iran Only the United States continues to plan for an armed conflict, which will only take place by air since the US military is too ground down in Iraq and Afghanistan for a ground invasion. Even Bush's NeoCon Faux News understands that Bush is chomping at the bit to kill more innocent civilians: Brit Hume and FOXNews.com: Pentagon Has Given Up on Diplomacy, Crafting Plan to Bomb Iran While Washington continues strongarming the UN Security Council, China and Russia--who have many contracts within Iran and are also permanent members of the UNSC--are not going to let the Washington jeopardize those contracts. Threats of more sanctions are just that--threats. I don't doubt Bush would happily commit more murder and mayhem in the Middle East given the flimsiest of excuses and that is where I am focusing my attention right now. _______________________________________________________ "Treason doth never prosper, what's the reason? It's not in the past, neither is it the clerics

Israeli panes are flying over syria which is an ally of Iran. Won't be long before Iran goes out to help. Gen. Mohammad Alavi says it has plans to bomb Israel if attacked by the Jewish state. France and the US are moving for fresh sanctions against iran. Read this article here http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/meast/09/19/iran.israel.ap/index.html

Iran is not a threat to Israel, not really...

Sure, Iran's clerics may have threatened Israel in the past, but Iran's current President has made no such threats and Iran is permitted to develop civilian uses for nuclear energy as a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferatin Treaty (NPT). Under pressure from Washington and other Western countries, Iran has consented to inspections by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). So far, accoring to IAEA Director ElBaradei, Iran has complied. If anything, Israel with its 200 nuclear weapons is more of a threat to Iran. Heck, Bush and his fellow chickenhawks have already threatened Iran. So, no, Iran is not a threat. _______________________________________________________ "Treason doth never prosper, what's the reason?
