Are we really improving?
posted May 28, 2008 - 3:28amThe world is constantly evolving. We, too, keep on progressing. We manage to create our own world. From being a man of nothing to a man of something. But, are we really improving?
We are proud that we are able to use cars now to go to places. Cars make it possible for us to travel easily and shortly. Yet, we hardly visit our families or friends.
We are happy that we can use computers, cellphones, televisions, etc. They make communication clear. Yet, we seem to misunderstand each other. Many couples are divorcing because of cellphones. One partner says her/his partner is having an affair. The evidence is a text sent to him/her wrongly.
We have a lot of buildings. They could house a number of people who don't have a roof above their heads. Yet, a number of people live outside these buildings, sleeping on the cold pavements until rain comes.
What is going on with the world? Yes, we seem to fly and almost in heaven, but we are not. Sometime in the future, we could plummet down the drain with nothing on again and with nothing to be proud of.
