Are you a "flea"?

Are you a "flea"?

Are you a business opportunity flea?

Do you jump from one site to another before you ever give one a chance? This is what we call a flea. These people don't stick around long enough to make a business work.

When you start a home based business, you have to stick with it. It's yours so make it work.  Work at it like it's your job.

Do you jump from job to job to job?  Most people do not, although we know there are people out there that do.

If you have a site online, what do you need to do?

1. You need to make sure your site is presentable, if it's a business you have started. If it is a business you became a member of, you probably were given a web site that everyone else has also.

2. Most importantly, you must drive traffic to your site. If you don't have traffic, you won't last very long. There are many ways of driving free traffic to your site to start, especially if your budget is limited. If you can afford to pay for traffic, then get the targeted traffic to your site.

3. Work your business everyday. Working online is different than working a normal job. When you go to a job, you have set hours and get paid a set pay every week. On the other hand, if you have a website, it's very different. Your profits will vary and you will get out of it what you put into it. If you do not put any time into your site, what do you think you'll get back. Not much. So always be promoting your site.

4. Don't quit. Do not be a flea. Stick with it and make it work. Don't give up and say something is a scam if you never gave it a real effort.  Give it a few months, at least.

5. If possible, maybe you can offer an affiliate program. Affiliate marketers are great for sites that have the ability to add that on.  Again, if you have joined a program this most likely won't be an offer. Maybe you can pay a college student to advertise a few hours a day.

Whatever you do, do it like you absolutely must. Don't go online and say I'm gonna put up a couple ads and then think you are going to get rich. Not going to happen. Put up as many ads as you can. Work a lot of hours in the beginning. The truly talented marketers don't really need any advice. And there is another tip, maybe you could speak with an online marketer. Join some business social networks and start networking.

Just don't give up. Anyone really can work from home. But it's the one's that really want it that will succeed.
