Today in this highly competitive era every one wants to be a perfectionist. It is generally thought that if you are not a perfectionist then you are doomed. I have seen people madly obsessed with perfection. Some enjoy being perfectionists. They spend time in an activity with a cool head, and they enjoy the work without pre-conceived notions. I find others are stressed out in an attempt to become perfectionists. They appear restless, and lack a definite focus. They appear too self-obsessed as they don’t have time for others. They are lost out in their own world.
There is nothing wrong to be a perfectionist. After all attempts to become a perfectionist indicate a genuine desire to perform well against the all odds. Your energy level is high, and you exude positive approach which is very good for your personality. However, we can not attempt to be perfectionists in all fields. This attempt can be disastrous as we fail to find time to relax which is very important as a stress-buster. Simply you can not be a master of all trades.
Making sincere attempt to find perfection in any activity, may be your profession, is key to success in life. A certain level of dedication and passion is important for being a perfectionist. Half-hearted strategies, or short-cuts, may backfire. Sincerity, truth and considering your activity as a noble endeavour are very important here. If you have ego, arrogance, or pride in what you do then you can not be a perfectionist. The willingness to learn and consistently improve yourself is very important. If you have these qualities then your attempts to be a perfectionist can be a never-ending process of joy. For my posts visit www.xomba.com/user/sanjay
