Artie Lange Quits Howard Stern Show
posted April 10, 2008 - 12:13pmArtie Lange quit the Howard Stern show after an abrupt argument and outburst at Stern.
He has been a part of the show since 2001. Sources say he was arguing with an assistant earlier in the hallways off air. Howard heard about it, and decided to bring it up on
air. He had the assistant, Teddy, come in, and they discussed. Artie began to explain how he dislikes his assistant due to recent money problems. Teddy's response had to do with there being more to the job than one might think.
Lange and Teddy were supposed to travel to Amsterdam tonight, however they were disagreeing over Lange's share of the money for travel. Lange claims he finances Teddy frequently.
The two began to argue more until it closely became physical. Others in the studio stopped a fight from breaking out.
Artie made death threats towards Teddy while returning after storming out.
Artie said he would resign shortly after Stern talked about how he doesn't think he can have him around any more if he is going to have outbursts on air. Before Lange left he said to Stern "I'm not a good person, I gotta leave, I love you."
